Wine 101
your pre dinner entertainment
Learn about how to taste and evaluate wines on a 30 minute as your pre dinner entertaintment when you dine with us on Tuesdays. Led by Ron Khoo, this fun tasting will be a great way to entertain your clients or friends prior to dinner.

 

This is a very informal session meant for you to spice up your dinner party. During the 30 minutes, we will touch on the following topics:

• An introduction to a systematic approach to wine tasting:

o What to look for in wines: Whether the wine is in good condition or not, Whether the wine is light, medium or full bodied
o Swirling wine: Why is it done? What are legs?
o Smelling wine: Why is it done?
o Tasting wine: Take note of the different tastes, is there balance?

• How to read wine labels.
• Storage conditions for wine.
• Drinking conditions for wine.
• What do you do when a waiter passes you the cork?
• What do you look out for when the waiter gives you the first glass of wine?
• What is corked wine?
• Factors affecting the taste of wines

We will taste four different wines to practically demonstrate the different styles found in each wine.

Price: RM25/person on the basis that you dine at Tasting Room after the session. Otherwise, our regular charge is RM50/person.
