 Grand Cru by the glass
Chateau Clerc Milon 2001

If you always wanted to try a wine which was more than RM300 but were not sure if you would like it, we have now made it even easier.

For RM65/glass, you can try a French Classified Growth (Grand Cru Classe).

Chateau Clerc Milon 2001 rated 91/100 points by Wine Spectator.

Sleek and racy, with a beautiful structure of very fine tannins and ripe fruit. There are minerals, currants and berries throughout, yet it's subtle and caressing. Lovely wine. I like this as much as the 2000. Best after 2007. –James Suckling of Wine Spectator, rated 91/100

Chateau Clerc Milon is part of the Rothschild stable which owns properties like the illustrious Mouton-Rothschild, d'Armailhac and many others. It is an under rated winery which hides in its fifth growth category - however, we all know that the 1855 classification cannot be fully relied upon as many chateaux are outperforming their rank. Clerc Milon is one of them! This translates to good value for money for the consumer.

Production is only 14,000 cases per annum and the wine is made from vines averaging 40 years old. It spends 18 months in oak, of which about 30% of it being new oak.
